Google Pay is the service of contactless payments via mobile device simply by adding payment cards of Erste Bank in Google Wallet™. So, a classical wallet is not necessary, because you can make all contactless payments from your smart phone.

What do you need for using Google Pay?
- You need VISA/Mastercard Debit or Credit payment card of our Bank.
- Your mobile device has Android Lolipop 5 operating system or a newer one.
- Your device must support NFC technology which enables contactless payment.
- Set up device lock by one of offered methods on the device (template, fingerprint, PIN code, face scanning, etc.).
How to activate Google Pay?
- Download Google Wallet from Google Play.
- Open Google Wallet application and choose “Add Card” option.
- Enter the data from the card by scanning it by the device camera or by entering the card number, card expiry date and CVC/CVV which is at the back of the card.
- Accept the Terms and Conditions of using the service of digital wallet.
- You will get SMS with one-off password (SMS OTP) or you will get the notification for calling the Service Centre for the activation of the service.
- Enter the password in the Google Wallet application. This password is the confirmation of your identity, so do not disclose it to others in order to avoid potential misuse.
- If you want to add more cards to your wallet, it is necessary to repeat the procedure for each of them.
How can I use Google Pay in retail places?
It is necessary to unlock the device with the installed Google Wallet and then bring the device close to the POS terminal.
After the performed transaction, you will see the page with the confirmation on your display and you will know that the payment is successful.
If you have several cards in the Google Wallet, before the payment, you should choose the card you want to use.
